In a bizarre crossover event that defies traditional expectations, the game developer has unveiled an virtual partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, including free bonus story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Adventure Uncovered

According to the official release, "A mysterious confrontation pulls protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh mission, where hints of prohibited ceremonies and terrifying metamorphoses resonate through the shadows." The storyline features a "unusually attired woman named Ada" who tasks the duo with traveling into the Crystal Cave—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a clandestine sect.

The adventure centers on "strange tests and a fearsome enemy" and is open to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Familiar Places and Transformations

The trailer showcases the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was previously where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The teaser finishes with a dramatic scene showing a character, presumably the captive, morphing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Items and Bonus Material

Players who accomplish the mission will receive an unique katana alongside several items hidden throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also includes premium Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:

Third Free Story Update

This update also introduces the game's latest no-cost story addition, titled "The Mystery."
