The Popular Show Campaign 4 Reveals the Warriors Table

From the very beginning of Campaign 4, new Dungeon Master Brennan Lee Mulligan has kept fans guessing with rich lore, a wide array of personalities, and a thrilling plot featuring divine entities, evil spirits, and dark forces increasing in influence within Dol-Makjar.

Warning: Key plot points for the latest installment of Campaign 4 are included.

The Combat-Oriented Party Introduced

Episode 3 finished on a huge suspense moment and presented the first table of adventurers who will split off from the central cast to begin their own adventure, distinct from the remaining groups.

This warrior group features the determined fighter (played by Travis Willingham), the nimble rogue (Laura Bailey), the fierce warrior (the cast member), Wicander Halovar (Sam Riegel), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie).

Why Split the Party?

Considering 13 cast members, it was evident from the outset that keeping everyone at the same party would be unworkable.

This explains, the opening chapters of this story serve as an Overture, weaving together the individual narratives before splitting into three distinct groups: Soldiers, Schemers, and Questers.

What Defines the Soldiers Table

According to the DM, the Soldiers table is for adventurers who are drawn to a typically action-packed fight-heavy narrative style where diplomatic options are rare.

Initially, figures such as the reluctant priest Wicander Halovar might look out of place, but the actions of episode 3 demonstrate why these five characters are ideally matched for the Soldiers table.

Reasons to Leave

To begin with, the party understands precisely where to head next after a brutal initial meeting with the antagonists.

A former ally of Thjazi Fang—whose death kicked off the campaign’s events—manipulated the enemy for his selfish purposes, entering the hidden lair, attacking Thimble, and stealing all the enchanted items to auction.

Casimir then paid off his debts and ran away to a secure base in Gormalay, Timmony, beyond Dol-Makjar, with Teor’s brother pursuing him.

Character Drivers

Secondly, each character has a personal reason to exit Dol-Makjar:

  • The rogue, as the companion and best friend, desires revenge.
  • The adventurer is familiar with the region and warns that it is a hostile location.
  • The warrior and Wicander, having defied his family’s wishes to kill the fighter and instead rescued him, have nowhere else to go.
  • However, their status as prominent individuals in the powerful family could assist the team access areas they normally couldn’t.
  • Additionally, The grateful character vowed a eternal obligation to The cleric for his deliverance and will now accompany him everywhere.

Fugitives

Finally, all of them are hunted by the rulers that rule the setting for a multiple motives, making remaining behind dangerous:

  • The agile adventurer and Kattigan are known criminals.
  • Tyranny and The healer turned against the influential house and the legion of demons they are allied with.
  • The fighter is targeted for elimination by House Halovar.

This results in them little choice but to journey toward Timmony in search of the antagonist.

Upcoming Developments

Based on episode three’s post-show segment, we discover that the combat party will not appear next week, leaving the remaining eight cast members to form the Explorers and Planners groups.

Audiences can look forward to learning which adventurers will be in which group in the story’s last Overture episode, released on October 24.
